Golden Retriever growth chart
The dots mark one year. Growth is fastest in the first six months and slows after that.
How this estimate is made
Two sources are combined. The adult weights come from the American Kennel Club breed standard for the Golden Retriever. The shape of growth comes from a published study of puppies from 12 breeds, in which the Labrador Retriever was the only retriever and a large breed. We scaled that Labrador growth curve to the Golden Retriever's standard adult weight. We did not find a published growth table measured on Golden Retrievers, so these are estimates and not measurements for the breed. Golden Retrievers may grow a little differently from Labradors. For a check on your own puppy, use the puppy size calculator and the body condition check.
Questions

The estimate is about 13.3 lb for a male and 11.4 lb for a female, roughly 6.0 and 5.2 kg.
How much should a Golden Retriever puppy weigh at 16 weeks?
About 28.8 lb for a male and 24.7 lb for a female.
How much does a full-grown Golden Retriever weigh?
The breed standard gives 65 to 75 lb for males and 55 to 65 lb for females. Pet dogs are often heavier than the standard, so use body condition as the better check.

Is my Golden Retriever overweight?
Use the body condition check. Weight alone cannot say.
How much should I feed my Golden Retriever puppy?
